We Happy Few presents:
Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief
The three female characters from Shakespeare's Othello tackle friendship, relationships, sex, and liberation in the back room of the castle while the story of Othello (and its dire consequences) unfolds around them. Told through a third-wave feminist lens, this raunchy romp through feminism is a hilarious and poignant delight. Playing at Capitol Hill Arts Workshop May 19th-June 11th!
Pointless Theatre Company presents:
The Legend of Hang Tuah
THE LEGEND OF HANG TUAH will weave together these stories, inspired by a mixture of Western and Malaysian traditions of martial art (Silat), live Gamelan music, and shadow puppetry. Each episode will be created alongside contemporary Malay storytellers; in collaboration with Patti Kalil and Matt Reckeweg (Co-Artistic Directors, Pointless Theatre), and developed and directed by Randy Baker (Artistic Director, Rorschach Theatre).
